"PAW It Forward"

PetCo will join the Pay It Forward Foundation with their twist on the Pay It Forward bracelet, the new ‘PAW It Forward’ bracelet will be introduced in January 2009.  
 
With the help of the Pay It Forward Foundation PetCo will be selling PAW It Forward bracelets, available in participating southeast PetCo locations beginning the middle of January, 2009.  The first wave of “PAW it Forward” bracelets will be sold for $1 each with proceeds going to the PetCo Foundation which gives assistance to animal welfare groups across the country.  Following the success of the first wave of PAW it Forward bracelets PetCo hopes to launch a nation wide campaign later in 2009.
 
The PAW It Forward campaign is intended to encourage pet adoption and pet rescue. “When someone says something nice about your ‘rescue’ pet which you have adopted from an animal rescue or another Pet Co adoption program, thank the person… then take your wristband off, give it to that person and ask him or her to ‘Paw It Forward’ and encourage him or her to either adopt a rescue pet or encourage someone else they know to do so.  Always Think Adoption First. Together we will make a difference”
