My class has decided on a class project. They decided that they are going to make tie fleece quilts for the kids at The Christmas Box House. If you don't know what that is, it is a place in Salt Lake for children who have been taken from their homes and they do not have an option for foster care. Today we discussed how we would get the money for the materials. The students decided that first they want to try to get donations from fabric stores throughout the valley. They decided that they would write letters. I gave them some requirements for the letters: They had to explain what it means to pay it forward, they had to tell about what our class project is, and they had to ask if they would be willing to donate any fleece fabric, even it is just a little. You should see some of the letters, they are so cute! I am so excited for this to get up and going. It is is nice to see that these kids really do have a desire to help people less fortunate than them. The best part is that they came up with it all on their own! Bayley
